The One Stop Donation Drop is an event based in Northeastern Pennsylvania, but dedicated volunteers have helped it spread across the country. We encourage our community to rally together and give gently-used items a second life.
The process is simple, and anyone can participate. Here's the idea:
We partner with multiple charitable organizations that collect everything from eyeglasses to clothes to medical supplies to cribs to bicycles. Basically, if you have something usable and you don't want it, we probably know a charity that does (print
THIS list of items our charities need most, and hunt for them in your home!).
Next, we invite our community members to clean out their homes and pack up everything they no longer want. We only ask that the items are in good, clean, usable condition.
Then, we unite everyone involved. Our community members get to drop off all their unwanted items (all at one location- simple!), and our charities help those items reach wanting hands. And most of those hands are right here in our own neighborhoods.
So, that's the idea: people helping people. It's that easy. And you can be a part of it! Click on the tabs to your left to find out more.

In 2010, we hosted events in Clarks Summit, Scranton, and Wilkes-Barre. All three took place Saturday, April 17 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Thanks to all who attended! This is in addition to many events taken up by dedicated volunteers throughout the country.
Local (Lackawanna County) events for 2011 are being planned.
